We have continued to successfully support our Members to direct emergency hardship grants through our Smarterbuys Essentials online store. We originally set the scheme up in 2012 to assist local authorities with the delivery of social fund. It is now also used by a number of Registered Providers who require a secure, proven and auditable route through which they can provide essential items of furniture and white goods. As well as offering significant discounts, we have developed considerable expertise in overcoming the customer service challenges presented by supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals and households.
